Minor issue that gets kind of annoying in my forums is the Automatic topics read function.

Explanation:

When I enter my forum it shows me which areas have new posts/topics by highlighting the little gif next to those forums.

So I enter one of the forum and I see the Three posts that are new. Once again highlighted by a different color gif.

So I enter the first new topic and read it, after reading I click the link to go back to that forums index page so I can read the other three new topics... Well crap, the other new topics are no longer highlighted. The forum automatically assumed I read the other two topics?

To make it worse, I click to go back to the MAIN forum index page to find the other forums that contain new posts and all of those are also marked as read and the little gif I no longer highlighted.. Kind of hard to figure out what you've read and not read.

Do you guys know of a fix for this?

1) Either remove the auto read functionality in the forum

2) Or fix it where it only removes the NOT READ gif from the topics and forums you've actually VIEWED!
