I would like to make it so when someone types in [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] it goes to [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]
What does that take?

You need to transfer your files to your root direcotry. right now, you have phpnuke as your root...it should be whatever your webhosts root directory is and normally that's the html directory.

make sure to change all the paths for images if you decide to go this route

Is there no way just to make a short cut? Direct my index.html to point to the directory my index.php is in?

you can redirect it with a meta refresh or a script.

remove the spaces between the word script or

same thing, remove the spaces in the word meta
