It seems that on my screen on my browser (mozilla) the site looks fine.
On another computer on IE a number of errors occur. The second half of the ".gifs" in each block are flattened and the blocks seem to scale differently. Photos look different (wider or shorter), text even seems more....odd. (I am using Garamond then Helvetica in the style.css but have changed nothing else in the style.css besides adding Garamond and changing the px size to 14.)

Is there a hack to scale images and text in browsers? Is this only an issue for me?

for so long now, web designers have had to deal with the different browser effects on their work. no one, as of yet, has come up with a better answer as to how to deal with this dilemma.

best thing to do, is to check and poll your users as to the most popular browsers they use. nothing else you can do but switch to IE....lol...or whiochever one works for you

Well durn

So add to list of things yet to discover but hopefully out there
Cure for Cancer
the Holy Grail
The Lochness Monster
and now universal scaling for web browsers

Thanks for the crushingly disheartening news.... icon_razz.gif
well on to find more trouble to cause in my site....

you forgot a couple more things:

The Carbon dating fiasco of the Shroud of Turin
The true place of rest for the Ark of Noah
and the age old question of:
What came first...the chicken or the egg?

but I digress.....if and when we find an answer to your designing dilemma, we will let you know

Fried scrambled or poached?

(PS as a christian with a ba in archeology the whole lack of professional science over religion and politics with the shroud of Turin and both Judeo-christian "arks" can get me on a soap box!) icon_razz.gif
