A little over a month ago, I was attempting a Flash project and encountered some problems with text animations. Everything worked fine on the stage but when the movie was tested or exported, the text would "glitch" (smear, disapear, not all show up, etc.) I found a cheap way around this by creating the text in another program (Fireworks, PS, etc.) and importing it into Flash as a GIF.

Well, as the weeks went by, the problem got even worse...to the point of text not even working when it was NOT animated. Just on a hunch, I completely uninstalled ALL Macromedia software (Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver), and did a new installation. Now I am happy to say that the problem is fixed and I can now use the text within Flash again...lol.

So, if anyone else has this problem, now you have a possible cure. BTW, I still have no clue what could have caused the problem in the first place.
