How do I delete posts in the forums without changing the posts that are under your name??

If you don't understand what I mean I'll explain.
Whenever somebody posts a topic or reply they get under their avatar how many times they have posted. When I delete a topic how do I delete it without changing the posts under the avatar???
I want to know this because when the forum is getting to big I want tto delete posts that are to long there, but I don't want members losing points because of it.

Any help would be great,
Thug

Huh??? icon_rolleyes.gif

I tried it myself, what I did was post a topic and then deleting it when I was in the moderate panel, but then when I checked my posts count it went back to the count before I posted that topic.
Isn't there a way for me so I can change the posts count for an user when I delete one of his posts? I have acces to the server where everything is stored, meaning all the user info and so on.

Regards,
Thug
