Im am wondering if there is a cash mod compatible with nuke.. Or I would like to have a thing like this site has that shows how many points you get for posting.. Adn is it possible to let new members have auto points just for joing our site with the 2.0.0 points system mod please let me know thanks

Sure you can edit the database table for nuke_users find the field user_points and change it to default '50' where 50 is the # of points to give a new user. The cashmod found here is compatible.

then why isnt this file in my modules/Forums folder privmsg.php it isnt there for me to edit.. im running 7.3 and will i hav to remove the points system that I currently have on there please let me know thanks..

and the auto join points is working fine thanx bro.. just one more thing is there a wat to add amod to show how many points they get when they post in the forums.. thanks bro

can some please respond to my last reply the cash is missing that file.. and my nuke installation doesnt have it for me to edit thanks

modules/Private_Messages/index.php is the file you need to edit.

I'm going to fire one off on this topic. Is it possible to modify nuke so it adds the points to the cash mod instead of the nuke points table?

In other words, can I set phpnuke up so when a user clicks on a banner, submits news, etc.., they get the points added to their forum cash mod "user_points" total?

I am hoping all this requires is exchanging the database updates to the cash mod tables instead of the nuke tables, but I ain't too sure.

you have to change the function update_points(); in the mainfile to add the points to the user_points field. something like this

$db->sql_query("UPDATE ".$user_prefix."_users SET user_points=user_points+$row[points] WHERE username='$username'");

Well, that didn't work. But thanks for the try. For some reason it isn't updating anywhere in the forums if I do things which are worth points elsewhere in the site.

Which points version are you using?
Is it turned on?
Is the option set to give points?
Are you using the update_points(); function?

I am using the cash mod for the forums. I was just trying to see if the groups option in Nuke 7.2 (where it adds points to the user when they click on banners, comment on stories, vote in polls, etc...) could be combined so the points a user receives for the groups, goes into the cash mod total instead.

Actually, I was hoping against hope this would be as simple as just a point update pointing to the cash mod points table, but maybe not.

One point I want to make though. It looks as if the points don't update even with assigned amounts in the groups admin. Could this be because I haven't defined any groups as of yet? I have been leary of creating a group because of the issues 7.0 had with updating members.
