Hi

I am trying to make a News Ticker for my site, just like CZ Newsflash block, but I want it to be shown in the header. I made a script ticker.php and put it in the root dir. The script works fine and shows the News. But when I add the following code to the header.html it doesnt parses it as it is a html file.

<? require "ticker.php"; ?>

try adding include("ticker.php");

thanks for help, but it doesn't work either. On checking the src of the page it shows the code as it is

<?php include "ticker.php"; ?>

Add it right above this line in your header.php:

include("ticker.php");
echo "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN\">\n";

You have to name the header- header.php and then place that in it. Change the theme where it says $tmplfile = themes/THEME_NAME/header.html to just include("themes/YOUR_THEME/header.php");
