Hello All!
I am currently "browsing" the net for portal/boards and like many, I want the best for free.
I have used actively the following:

tcms
Xoops
Invision
YaBB, SE
YaPP
and a brief time VB

and now using SMF

I am running a free PC assistance site and we use much news posting on "Home Page" as well as portal blocks for reviewing topics, links, etc. such as you have here.
I would like a portal that comes with it's own forum software so no integration is required.

I am a basic no nothing about installing forums/portals and mostly have had them converted for us and installed. I just installed phpnuke 6.9 that comes with this board 2.0 8 or something and would need to convert our SMF board if using the phpnuke one. I upgraded the phpnuke portion by adding their code and running hte script url. The phpBB reads this at bottom:
Powered by phpBB 2.0.8 © 2001 phpBB Group
phpBB port v2.0.5 based on Tom Nitzschner's phpbb2.0.6 upgraded to phpBB 2.0.5 standalone.
Ported and tested by:
Nuke Cops

BBtoNuke 2.0.5 by Nuke Cops ? 2003 [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

Speaking of conversion, I would also need our current SMF database converted to be functional with this one if offered.

SO, in a nutshell, it looks like you have here a nice portal/board that I just installed from my ENSIM panel via phpnuke and would like to get some feed back from others on what their "HONEST" opinion is or what I should review EVEN if this phpnuke with phpBB system is not for me.

Are there any staff here that could contact me directly for converting my forum database into this one? I have a spare database to play on.
I would like to speak to them on AIM, MSN, ICQ, or whatever.

*Side note, I posted this at the phBB site first but was quickly pointed to post my quandry here:

"You've found the support site for the BB2Nuke Module. Congratulations, and feel free to ask your questions Smile

(In otherwords, ask the author for support)"

I also posted at nukecops.

Thank you VERY VERY much for your valued input!

A new member,
CP
