can anyone help us. we are looking to buy the green tronic theme but have no ideal how to install it on our site blue host.com which supports php/nuke . we found the default folder which contain the default themes but wanna switch to the green tronic one.

have you already got the theme? have you installed phpnuke?

Answer must be Yes to both the Qs. You theme prob comes zipped. Extract it from the folder. There should normally be a Readme.txt or Instal.txt file to help you with installation but here it is anyways.

My host is bluehost.com too so this should be rather straight foward.

Click on FTP Manager, then on unlimited FTP, Yes to permissions. Find the place on ur PC where this theme is stored and find root/themes and upload your theme there.

After that is done go into ur admin panel, click on Preferences go down and select this new theme and press submit. The next page that loads should have your new theme.

And That's It!!

ok i would like to say thanks for the help . i did what you said to do i extract the free theme i downloaded from here so that i could make sure i knew how to do it before i actually brought the theme i wanted i couldnt find the root/theme folder so i uploaded to the folder that contained my default theme's and went back to the php admin panel saw the folder that i uploaded clicked saved and refesh my page and this is what i got

Maybe it is in a theme-pack. See if there is just a themes folder in the download.

If you know how to use phpmyadmin then you can run this in the SQL box to fix your site:

UPDATE nuke_config set Default_Theme='DeepBlue';
