Hi, i've made a little flash intro with some backing music, so i go ctrl + enter to get the swf. It's something lik 1.89mb.... I tried using the publish settings and getting all the music settings down. I have 8 bit sound quality on both bits, set the quality to fast on both, clicked publish and theres no change to the size or quality. Am i doing something wrong? Is there a special trick because i read on Newgrounds that it's possible to shave off loads of memory off of the file, yet i dont see how.

You could change your fps that might reduce the sizes.
also how did you format your (audio) input file?

Hi, my FPS is 24. They sound were imputted in MP3 Format, in the end it worked out ok though. I tried other settings on the Publish settings bit and i put it down from 1.7mb or so to about 600kb while still keeping good audio quality.

If you set the audio to stream it may help. It won't do much for the filesize, but at least the movie will start quicker than it does if the audio has to load.

Also check the library to delete any unused items. Make sure the audio is mono, and if there are repeating parts, loop them rather than have the same data twice.
