Just following on from the mention of UFO's earlier, I saw this snippet of news today:

Astronomers have spotted two monster galactic clusters slamming together in one of the biggest collisions ever recorded.

The smash-up poses no danger to Earth -- it is about 800 million light-years away..

Now, as they say, it poses no threat to us, but it's certainly possible that it is posing a monster threat to some kind of civilisation out there in that particular vicinity of space.

There could then, be some kind of life out there that has begun, evolved, and is about to be wiped out without us even knowing of their existance. Seems a shame eh?
