hello...i have read the sticky above and have tried it out, but have come up with the same thing lostboy is getting...so any answers to that?

i also am making my own theme...and how do i include the blocks on the right to actually be on the right hand side? what is happening is when i bring up the page, it puts all blocks on the left side...regardless of what i try to do. Any help there?

Sorry..I can't help you on the points thing.

The best thing I can tell ya for making themes is to take a look at a theme you've downloaded to see how the tables that your nuke site sits on are set up. In most Nuke themes, you have 1 larger "container" table that holds the header, the body and the footer, with nested tables inside the body cell to create the left, center and right columns. This table usually starts in header.php and ends in footer.php, so the code for that one table is spread out over several pages.

All I did was take a theme, (it was the theme tutorial from mtecknik), and add my own images and made the URL's point to them...and it isnt showing in the right spot, ill try to use another theme as a base.

OK, you got the main idea..that the main table goes from header to footer, and that it covers several pages. If you read through your theme.php file, starting at the top, you'll notice it calls for header.php, then left_center.html, then center_right.html, and so on...calling all of the pages that live in your themes folder.

That's how the theme knows where to put the blocks. You'll just have to open those pages to see what parts of the main table goes on each page.

Was that any clearer? I have a hard time getting what's in my head out through my fingers and on screen all in one piece sometimes.

It was, and ill look through there to see what exactly is going on. I've looked thru before and came up with block(left);...does there need to be block(right);?
