I am running nuke 7.2 modified with the gender and birthday hack. For some reason when I change avatars using the forum profile, the gender is reset, and the date entered for the birthdate is deleted.

I have narrowed the code (I think) to a line in the usercp_register.php file. In my file it is line 888 which is as follows:

display_avatar_gallery($mode, $avatar_category, $user_id, $email, $current_email, $coppa, $username, $email, &$new_password, &$cur_password, $password_confirm, $icq, $aim, $msn, $yim, $website, $location, $user_flag, $occupation, $interests, $signature, $viewemail, $notifypm, $popup_pm, $notifyreply, $attachsig, $allowhtml, $allowbbcode, $allowsmilies, $allowviewonline, $user_style, $user_lang, $user_timezone, $user_dateformat, $userdata['session_id'], $birthday, $gender);

The killer here is the $userdata['session_id'] portion. Depending on where I move this around in the line of code changes the entire way the date in the birthday is displayed, and whether the gender is selected or not. If I move the $userdata['session_id'] to the end of the line, even the date time format is changed.

Anyone know what could be wrong? The way I have it set up now, all that happens is the birthdate has to be re-entered and the gender has to be chosen again after the avatar is selected.

That looks fine. Did you check the usercp_avatar.php for simple errors?

May The GODS smile upon you Telli!

I have been stumbling around in code for hours and it was right there in the usercp_avatar.php file. All I had to do was change the order of the "gender" and "birthday" in the two places they were added in the file.

For some reason I had the files

(...'birthday', 'gender')
and
(...&$birthday, &$gender)

and all I had to do was change them to:

(...'gender', 'birthday')
and
(...&$gender, &$birthday)

Thanks soooooo much! I owe you again. Wow, my tab is getting up there. icon_mrgreen.gif

Ok, I am back to having this issue with another forum. The only thing now is when a user selects an avatar from the avatar gallery, they lose their gender. (That doesn't sound right) , Anyway, I have tried the fix above, but all this does now is cause the birthday AND the gender to be removed.

Right now, the member has to re-enter their gender if they change avatars. Also, there is no dot in the gender checkbox, even though the gender is showing up in the view profile.

Anyone have any suggestions?
