Heya all,

The site is here.

This site is to operate as a Library of sorts for my main site. When I installed it I installed it on the path /var/www/html/library. I have an index page installed in html where I eventually plan to add a site. (I want my library to run as a seperate site for personal reasons.) My problem lies in my paths I think.

Problems are:

1. When you go to the forums, the categopry and forum I created do not show up at all. In fact, on the non-admin side of the forums, nothing seems to work correctly at all.

2. Non admin-membership troubles are as follows:

On the main library site (non forum), I am able to add users and can even log them in. But the your account sections don't show up at all. I have created a test account user name and pass are test, so others can see what happens.

When users register, it never sends the email. And so the accounts can't be activated either.

I tried to resolve this issue, but I don't know what else to search under to find the problem. I would appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my post!

Sabastina

This is the URL I went to: [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

In your admincp>preferences link, where it says URL of site, do you have:
[ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

listed as the site URL?

Email problems normally stem from improper URl paths. I am sorry but I sorta got lost in your explanation of which site wasn't forum enabled and which one was not. The site above that I went to didn't have forums. Which site does?

Thanks Taut, I didn't have the site set up correctly in the preferences. I've done that now. icon_smile.gif Email is working! I can't believe I missed that.

That is the only phpnuke site that I have installed right now. For the sake of this issue, we can call it the main site.

I don't understand why you can't see the forums...When I look at them, I can't see any of the actual categories or forums, but it does take me to the forums page. I am going to try to unhide the forums module to see if that may work to allow you to see them. (I had deactivated the module so I could use the forums link on the header)

I've done a few things and created another dummy account. When I logged into that account, I can now see the complete forums. Seems the issue has been resolved other than your not being able to see them. I'm going to check the forums configurations now.
Thanks alot!

sorry I wasn't clear when I said I couldn't see them. What I meant was, the forums were not enabled when I looked at your site last night, hence I said I couldn't see the forums...I must have been thinking in a foriegn language and typing in English...my apologies lol

Glad you got it fixed.. icon_wink.gif
