Why do some themes display blocks fine in IE, then become stretched in firefox? What should I be looking for the fix?

I am using the Forums Scroll block from this site and I streches downward and is huge when viewing with Firefox and CZ-1 Theme, however using other themes it looks fine?

I had the same problem after using 100% in my themes instead of an exact dimension. I came to realize it was because that scrolling forums block uses 100% also. Define a width in its tables or height if thats the case, and it should be fine. Also be sure it has a closing marquee tag.

No luck, I have attached a screen shoot to show people what I am talking about. It just happens on the CZ-1 theme and it looks like most blocks are effected. There is big spaces at the bottom.

Yea im having the exact same problem...
which adjustments should i make
the width and height to the block-whatever, block file or what?

I just looked and the only thing that is 100% is the width

$content .="<td width=\"100%\"valign=\"middle\">";

would the width affect the height too? ( the stretched height)

I did have this problem untill i changed the height from 100% to something like 600 or 800px as PHP-Nuke modules crash themes when using 100% in height.

As for Width their is no problem and shouldn't affect the theme.

Just change the modules hieght to a px not a % and all will be fine don't believe me get CZ IFrame module and test it by removing $height from the coding and adding 100% in the hieght are of the coding and it'll crash the theme also $height = 100% will affect the theme always use PX when it comes to height I say....

Hope it helps you if not Upload the index.php of the module and people here can fix it for you icon_wink.gif

Did it just start happening? Looks like some spacing in the tables. Attach a copy of the blocks.html from the theme.

Here is the blocks.html file. I just started using Mozilla firefox because some of my users did and they have trouble with just this theme. It works fine in IE.

Greetings....

I'm not sure your problem is like mine, but I believe so. I'm having similar problems and have been trying to solve them for the past 3-4 days. It seems there is nothing wrong with your theme, it's a general nuke problem but you have to apply different solutions for each theme. BTW, no matter what I did older versions of mozilla never worked, but with Firefox 1.0 it's fine, temporary solution but ok for now.

Check this thread to see if it helps you:

And if you guys find a better solution...post it icon_wink.gif
