Hello, we have recently upgraded our phpnuke from version 7.4
to version 7.5...after this we noticed several issues with compatiblity
of blocks and so forth...so we did a restore of a recent backup
of 7.4 and that fixed all the compatibility issues. Now heres the problem,
upon going to the Admin page to do some managment, we noticed
that all our Admin Icons are now gone except for "Logout/Exit".
Everything is still where it should be in the directory's...ie: case files..
..link files and modules for that page. We are unable to manage the site
now and have no clue how to fix this problem. Can anyone help with
this? I really dont want to have to start all over again.
Thanks in advance.

Question.

1. Do you still have a GOD admin, and are they able to view all the admin icons?

You may have lost the specific permissions for the individual admins. In other words the GOD admin will have to go in to each individuals admin profile and recheck the different portions of the site they want the admin to be able to access.

I have no clue what the GOD admin status is, for I cannot see the info anymore.
Myself and one other are the only 2 admins, and we just use the main admin
login to manage things.
Here is a .jpg image of what I see now when going to the admin page...

If it is not possible to get them back, is there any other way of getting
back in so we can manage things for the site?

loosing your admin links usually happens because th etables for 7.5 have not been updated. That subject has been discussed here. Do a search or use the KB for updating to 7.5

Did you backup your database tables before you updated your site. Running with Taut's statement, maybe your tables are still set up for 7.5 even though you have down graded your site back to 7.4.

You will most probably need to downgrade your tables back to the way they were before you tried the upgrade.

Yes, everything was before the upgrade.

I take that as a yes, you did a backup of your database tables BEFORE you tried the 7.5 update.

If you installed 7.5 fully, you had to also update the tables with an sql file you ran in the install folder.

If you did this, and haven't went back and restored the tables with the sql file you made when you backed up your old database, you still have the new 7.5 tables, instead of the old 7.4 tables installed. Did that make sense?

You will need to BACKUP your current database (in case something goes wrong) and run the sql file you made when you backed up your old database. The one BEFORE the upgrade.

EDIT: I would also recommend trying what some1 said in the earlier post first. The answer he gave came from one of the professionals with phpnuke.
