Here's the deal... My site was hit with that worm last week. I decided it was time to upgrade to 7.6.

I have version 7.6 patched 2.7 that I downloaded from Ravenscripts.com. Initially I wanted to just do a complete start from scratch fresh install.

I uploaded the files, imported the tables into my database and went to create my Super user account.

When I submitted my info for the super user it kicked me to the admin.php page with an "Access Denied" message on the page.

Also when I hit any of the module links I get this error, "You can't access this file directly...".

I know this is probably something so stupid, but I've spent hours searching forums here and at Ravenscripts and I just can't find a solution. I've done probably half a dozen error free installs in the past. ugh...

I found a post at nukecops.com where someone is having the exact same issue.

I've also tried installing phpnuke 7.4 just to see if it would work..... no dice.

My provider recently updated it's version of phpmyadmin. It's now using the most recent release candidate. Is there a setting or something that is new?? I've been through the documentation but I can't see why this install should be bad.

Try installing in with one of the Nukesql products (auto installers) see if you have problems then.

I finally had some freetime tonight and tried the installer.

No dice. It's still not working.

Question. Just after the Santy worm hacked my site, my web host upgraded the phpMyAdmin to version 2.6.2-rc1. Does anyone know of any issues with it?

I'm all out of ideas here...

Question... What about CHMOD'ing the files/folders? I've got folders at 755 and files at 644. That's where they need to be right?
