Upgraded from 6.5 to 7.6.

Fresh install filewise, only upgraded the DB using the Nuke upgrades and then the bbtonuke ones.

I had made my DB smaller so I could restore it quicker by deleting the majority of my forums. Now when I recreate a new forum it actually shows up with a post count of 0 on the forum index page but when I click on it it shows up all these posts from an already deleted forum although only the first page of posts is there.

If you delete the posts you have to delete the topics too.

nuke_bbtopics
nuke_bbposts
nuke_bbposts_text
nuke_bbforums

And you might as well empty these they need to repopulate as you get new posts.

nuke_bbsearch_results
nuke_bbsearch_wordlist
nuke_bbsearch_wordmatch

Let me see if I understand this correctly, as I did not delete posts but a whole forum.

When I delete a one of the forums I need to go into mysql through phpmyadmin and delete tables somewhere?

Still a bit confused here, sorry.

Maybe i misunderstood you. Did you delete the forums in the sql file before you replaced the tables or did you do it through your administration panel?

I actually deleted them via phpmyadmin going into the bb_forums one there, browse and deleted the once I didn't need.

Did not use the built in panel, bad way to do it? icon_redface.gif is there a difference?

Thank you.

When deleting posts, topics, forums, etc its best to always use the Forums ACP. If you don't things will be left all over your database pointing to data that doesn't exist anymore.
