hi
for some reason, my emails arent being sent.
i've install MANY mods, on phpnuke76-patched, and it was fine when the last signup happened, back on the 17th, but today i "thought" i'd open the door for some testing, and obviously the first test failed, lol

anybody have any ideas where i should start looking?

i'm expecting it to be some added field in my nuke_users table, but i don't see anything obvious there

i've added 33 accounts manually in the last 2 hours, and i'm likely going to have about 200 more before this day ends, so any help would really be appreciated, lol

I would suggest backtracing all you have changed, one thing at a time. Did you backup files before applying the mods?
Have you considered adding a no mail hack? eliminating the activation process? If interested here's a link to the "No Mail Your Account Hack 7.6" [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

ok, moving on to the next possiblity, it's not my database seeing as they are being added to the nuke_users_temp table fine, and i can manually add them to the nuke_users table.

i've uploaded a backup version of Your_Account, still a no go

so my question would now have to be what other files would be associated with sending activations?

and i guess it is possible that my host is having some type of issue with the sending

nuke analyzer seem to show no problems at all, but i'm not sure how much it looks at the activation stuff

sorry for being a pain, i'm more of a "search and find" out yourself person, but i'm kind of in a spot here

thanks echo, i think i'll at least try that, but i kind of wanted to fix this properly

(i was already typing when you posted)

yes, i keep backups of everything, and i'm pretty used to breaking things, and taking my time fixing them, but this time i'm in a bit of a hurry, lol

i WILL try that now, (after i back it up, lol)

but either way, i'll still have to solve this issue, maybe that will help point me in some direction though

ok, great, i just ran the email test you showed me, and no mail came, i did it a second time, but used a webmail address i have, and still nothing came, so i guess my host is the cause, and FINALLY it's not something i've broke!

thanks alot, at least i know i can stop messing with things and causing more problems, lol

now i'll go install that mod so at least i can get these accounts activated quickly

btw, i'm here every day, reading (and learning), and i just wanted to say, if it wasn't for you GREAT people, i would still have a stock phpnuke install, lol

I have about 40 - 50 mods installed, and many i've converted from old files to work with this newer 7.6 version, and due to all of your help, i'd say i'm running around 95% error free.

This might help. I had the same problem.... Check to make sure the email return address(in the bb forums admin menu) is one the site recognizes as one of the registered admin emails (maybe the one you have for the god admin account ... i know you used one you dont wanna give out but this seemed to fix my problem).
Also check your .htaccess file it should be in the public_html folder not the server root folder (the one your public_html is in).
Here is the code needed for the .htaccess that gets rid of a few small errors/warnings

PHP_FLAG output_buffering on
