OK, I have been searching the forum but seems not to find my answer so I am asking now:

I have noticed that many Nuke sites do not have the radom "Security Code" feature turned on and I was wondering how secure it is to do that. I ask becuase I have just added the nuke 7.6 and the security code won't show up in the "CZUser-Info" block and this would mean that I have to search for a fix that I did but can't find. The problem has to do with the patch index file in the "Your_Account". If I switch back to the old index file then all is OK. However, I am search the CZUser-Info to see if I could help myself but If there is already a fix or upgrade please post. If I can just turn it off in my config and do not lesson on security please let me know as well

Many Thanks for helping

OK,OK I just fixed it but please still answer the first part of my request

Thanks again

I don't know if i'm answering exactly what you are asking, but the security code,(to my knowledge) is basically to stop bots or scripts from signing up, because they cant read the numbers in the code.
In that context, the use of it likely would depend on the type of site you are running, and if you think this could be an issue.

always think: "better safe than sorry"
