When I try to download files added to the forums I cant.

It says Im allowed in the bottom right, but when I try I get

'You are not authorized to view this page......

Bla bla......

HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden
Internet Explorer'

Uploading files is no problem.

A lot of times what people have to do in order to dl from the forums is right clikc the word "download" then choose Save Target As. See if that works for you

What theme are you using?

Errr.... the theme.... is the default one..... there is no way of changing it in 'Your Account'.

If I right click to download I get this.

I've tried this with all my firewall settings and popup blockers off, just incase that was the problem.

dunno what to say, when I click on the download link it works just fine for me. Did this just start happening for you? What thread are you trying the dl from?

All forums m8. I cant even download anything that I've attached..... weird, it must be my browser. Although I've disabled firewalls popup blockers and everything when I try. Using IE6.
I've just tried in Firefox..... I get this error

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /files/nuke6.5_sigedit.zip on this server.

I've tried everything I know of on my end. Deleted all cookies as well, incase that was the problem.

Off topic, I bought a glow, that doesnt seem to work either. Does it automatically add a glow to your name, or do you have to configure it?

Well it wasnt theme related, the problem is still here.

Let me just get this straight, you are clicking on the word Download on an attachment in these forums and you are getting an error, correct?

I've asked a few of my friends who are members here and they claim they don't get any of the errors you mentioned.

They go to the thread where the download attachment is, click on the word download and it works just fine.

I'm sorry but I don't have an answer for you. I'll mention this to Telli and see if he has any ideas.

check your browser settings, make sure privacy is set to medium.
also, if you have certain anti-spyware software, it can block cookies aswell.

just guessing it has to do with cookies, seeing as you seem to be the only one affected.

network cookie forwarding could be an issue also

if you have to log in every visit here, that would be a sign of cookie issues, but not always.

i've had some users who have made the right changes, but they didn't actually fix anyhting till after a reboot also.
