Hi all,

what i would like to do is to modify web_links a little and add one more field except the ones that already exist.
I know there are good people out there with good knowledge of php and nuke and i hope you will help me on how i should start.
Meanwhile i 've been reading the phpnuke manual and learned some stuff like phpnuke structure e.t.c.
(Crowd's voice-->Poor little nikits newbbie...you have so much road yet to walk :? )

So i believe that i should start by modyfing the index.php which is inside web_links folder.
(Voice--> LOL! What a great conglusion.Shortly you will discover moon icon_twisted.gif )

There is the idea of making an i-frame and include a modified web_links html page with the fields i want.
Then i will manually add the data to the original web_links page.
Which brings me to another problem.How will i add the data of the extra field?

By searching around in phpnuke files i think that i must declare a variable/field in the language.php files in /Web_Links and /Web_links/admin
Is it right?

Also i think that i must insert the new variable/field in the database.
Correct?

I admit this is not an easy question to answer which is not of the type i installed phpnuke and i get the error bla bla.. mainly because i am lame with php...but i will give it a try to make it with some/if any help from you.

Hi again,

well ,if i think right (cause i dont know much of php)the only differnece it is how we declare it (as integer or string but i bet you already know this) so lets say it is a string.
