I'm trying to upgrade from 7.1.

I would like to start from a blank html directory, do the 7.6 upgrade, load up my database, then add my cosmetic mods/themes. Are there directions anywhere on doing this simply?

Are chatserv's 2.9 patched files complete? Meaning that's all I need to install nuke 7.6? Or are his patched files just the files that have been modified?

What is the "7.6 patched" download on this site? Is it the 2.9 patch? Is "7.6 patched" complete?

Or do I have to go get a virgin 7.6 download first, then apply either the 7.6 patched download here, or chatserve's 2.9 files?

7.6 patched 2.9 means it already included 2.9 patched files in it o you dont have to patch
if someone has 7.6 he will download 2.9 patches from nukeresources.com and patch his nuke manulally himself
but if you think to update your nuke version to 7.6 you can go with 7.6 patched 2.9
