            <title>Ja Rule - Always On Time</title>
            <file>music/R&B/Ja Rule - Always On Time.mp3</file>
         </song>

I need a break down in barney style if you please, I thought I had it but i was wrong

I put all files inside /html/" " except block which went in block directory i added it in admin but song does not play. it lists! but does not play
I thought Music was my folder name for my mp3's which went in my /html/ and R&B was a folder or playlist inside my music folder ie /html/music/R&B/?.mp3

Your making it to hard just upload the files then make a folder called music or sounds or whatever then put all you mp3's in there dont edit the playlist.xml except where the songs go or to add another station. And to add another station just change this:

<station name="FN0" text="Playlist0">

To this

<station name="FN1" text="Playlist1">

You need to modify the playlist.xml file in a text editor, follow the guide in the playlist file. You need to have music to add to the file in order for the player to play the music.

All the music needs to be online.

Thanks for the quick response...

By "online" it must me on some site available, or can I download an mp3 file from my personal collection into my server, making it available there?
Or is that a no-no eusa_naughty.gif

I have been editing it directly from my "file manager" inside my server "admin" will try editing outside and re-loading.

Thanks

So long as it is on a server it does not matter, you need to make sure that the mp3 address is in full when you are editing the file.

I just installed the jukebox block and it works AWSUM!! many thanks!!

due to space constraints ill only be able to upload 15-20 songs and still leave enuf room for my site and its own functions-- (my songs are recorded at 320, so file sizes are kinda big)

here's my question-- is Mp3 the best format for this?? my understanding is mp3 is the most 'compact' format to record music in.

longshot question----can i link my jukebox to someone elses collection?
(probably frowned upon for sure icon_wink.gif )

thanks in advance!!

MP3 is the only one that will take and "hotlinking" is bandwidth theft so I suggest not to do it.
