I just ran over to [ Register or login to view links on this board.] and it says it's closed, but the kicker is the reason they have added:

"FBI Warning - The operator of this website has been placed under juristictional arrest for the following: Grand Felony"

Is this just a way the admins are having fun, or is there something to this?

Oke i wasn't put under arrest firstly. I closed the site to do some tests in relation to speed and page generations. If you haven't noticed the site has been slow recently and over the next week i will be having these issues solved.

All is good in reguards to engine speed and page generations. The speed problem appears to be in the server account itself. Over the next week the site will be transferred to an additional server and we will go from there. Moving to a seperate server is the first step in locating the problem. All i know for now that it is not related to nuke, nor platinum.

I'll keep you's informed, and sorry if you got a scare over the close message The closed message was actually planned for april fools but i didn't bother doing it when i found out that everyone was saying that i died, sigh.

I actually had a chance to work on a NP site and have to say I was quite upset to see that he removed so many credits from the files.

That brings up an interesting question about the GNU. I have seen different views on the site credits, and even found one from the Harvard School of Law where they use a PHP-Nuke site, and have moved the credits to another place. They were taken off the files and removed from the footer. They did connect all the links to another page where all the credits were.

Kind of the way Computer Cops does their site. According to the Harvard Law School, it was withing the GNU license to do this. I am NOT saying this is the proper or respectful thing to do, I am just saying it may not be a violation of the GNU to move the credits.

I do the same on my site. I have removed the copyright from the footer and replaced it with links:

Copyright | Terms & Conditions | Credits | Privacy

A bit like Telli has done here. In my "credits" page are all the acknowledgements to authors and the nuke licence with links to the respective sites. As long as you dont claim that the work is yours and somewhere on your site you have the above info I cant see the problem with it.

On the flip side, it is quite sad to see other sites who dont acknowledge the authors. Its not hard to just create a small page with the details on it is it?
