Hello,

I am using Nuke Platinum, a strange guy has just threatened to take my site down. I'm worried and wondering which way could I be attacked and how to avoid it? Is it easy to attack a mod account which has an "easy" password (4 letters)?

Surely he is not. I dont even know him and I got no reason why he wants to get my site down. Real nervous.

Well unless he has some "friends" or actually knows what hes doing then i would be worried....

To Milne, i doubt it would be his host due to him being "mysterious" hosts should be trustworthy!!

Well all i can suggest is to have protector on!!

Make pwords longer!!!!! If this person was a member of your site u should have one of their IP's...just place that into protector also.

How exactly did he threaten you? I mean was it a pm, in a thread in the forum, what? You can ban his ip from visiting your site.

If you think he knows the password to your account change your password.

You could also generate a full backup of your site including sql and keep it on your pc. This would help incase he did manage to delete the site. you could restore it easily.

You could also install Nuke Sentinel. It comes with your platinum download and is located in folder PHP-Nuke-Platinum-7.6.0\supplementary\security. This is just for added security.

If your not using your admin section often you could delete the admin.php file and upload it to the server everytime you want to use it.
