An If then else statement looks something like this in PHP:

If ($a == 5) {

    echo "Hello World";

} else {

    echo "a$ is not equal to 5";

}

So first we ask a question "if this...then...". In this case, we're stating "if the variable $a is equal to the number 5, then show "Hello World" on the webpage. Otherwise (else) show that the value of the variable "is not equal to 5".

So what your equation looks like to me is this:

If ($a == 5) {

    echo "Hello World";

} else

    echo "a$ is not equal to 5";

}

Notice it is missing the brace after the word "else". Try restoring your original file and adding a " { " after the word "else" on line 81. Let me know if that helps.

Try fixing this line...

From:

$cm_memberlist->droplists($mode_types_text $mode_types);

To:

$cm_memberlist->droplists($mode_types_text, $mode_types);

Also noticed quite a few other errors in there:

'L_LOOK _UP' => $lang['Look_up_User'],

There is a space in it. Not enough to cause a parse error but that define may not work. Same here:

'L_ONLI NE_STATUS' => $lang['Online_status'],

Yes,

Remove the space.

Out of curiosity, where did you get that file from as it is full of errors?

Which file?......

The one i attached first was the one straight from modules/member_list.php that was editted by me so it was probably my editting thats done the damage..

Please ignore this thread now..i will kick on with my platinum site and go slowly and keep checking i've editted correctly.

Thanks for the help you've given me, i've taken it all in and hope to return the knowledge to someone else that maybe will have the same problem(s).
Thank you and keep up the great work CZ!!
