Hey guys, I am working on this clients site and his host must be blocked by alot of ISP's because half of the new users are not recieveing there activation emails, I manually go into the DB and push them thru teice a day. I then came accross the RESEND EMAIL plugin and that is cool, but is still a pain in the you know what.

I seet the user registration option in the Forums configuration page to NONE, so that no email is needed for new users, but for some reasons the system is actiing like I never made any changes? somehting must not be mapping over to the DB.

My question is, what value in what table needs to be set in order for new users to be auto activated and not needing a confirmation email. I guess I need to set the value in the DB itself since the Configuration page is not doing right.

Thanks again!

Hello Bazil,

There is a Auto Activate addon that you can put in to auto activate them.. If you want you can download it from [ Register or login to view links on this board.] . Hope this helps.

Is it a nuke site or just forums.. As I know the forums is ran off of the nuke site. I could be wrong.. I know there are a couple of your accounts and depending on which one you might have can achieve this also. As far as I know the Forums doesn't allow auto activate. I could be wrong...

Yes, it is a PHPNuke site with the forums built in, I forgot that all of the forums config stuff does nto mao over since nuke an forums are kinda of "fused" together. it works fine, I appreciate, I guess if I want to uninstall it I can just undo the proccess etc.

Now if I may also ask does this new file piggy back on teh original file or could I have just renamed it anything?

Hey, thanks again man...

YQW. Well when I did it the first time I renamed it and used the index.php file. I have also just altered it.. I works both ways. and its good to have as a back up if you just renamed it. I believe you could of just renamed it anything. I don't think it piggy backs off of it.
