I went though and used your search but I am at a loss as to what I am actually looking for. what I want is a way to track the ips of people that register their character names on a role play site I run. this is a way to keep track of all the players. And to limit the number of characters they have. We do have a limit to make the game fair. I know that I use to have it set up that it would show me as admin the ip's but for the life of me I do not remember how.

Curantly I am running php nuke platinum. Maybe it was an earlier verson that did this for me I cant even remember that anymore, would be grateful if you could at least point me in the right direction?

Here's an IP tracking module, maybe this will meet your needs?

I downloaded the file and unpacked it. Uploaded the sql to the database without any problem. I uploaded the whole thing to the php modules file. when in admin for the php I found it in the modules and made it active for only admin to see. since there is no instructions I was hoping this was right, I then activated it. when I go to it it gives me its little box and it says Not activated. I think I made a left turn instead of a right somewhere. Or I just dont know how to use it.

Perhaps it won't work on your version of Nuke. Did you follow the Instuctions?

Installation Instructions:

1. copy the IP_Tracking/ directory and it's files
to under the modules/ directory

2. add the following line above the last line in includes/counter.php:
include_once("modules/IP_Tracking/iptracking.php");

3. * load the table:
this step only for new install or upgrade from release prior to 3.2.2 .
move the iptrackingtable.php file to your server root directory,
(same directory as your config.php file),
and load into your browser (yourdomain.com/iptrackingtable.php).
OR
apply iptrackingtable.sql against your database for first time install only.

I have Platinum also and it works and installed fine......BUT.....I cant find it in the Modules Admin to activate it so it shows it as Inactive when I load the IP Tracking page.

You must active the IP Tracking from your Modules Admin Panel

Once you have activate your IP Tracking make sure it's Visible to Administrators Only.

Thats the problem.......its not in the admin, modules list

Then it wasen't install in the right place

try to install it again and make sure its in your (Modules Admin Panel)

The looks at echo zip you have to install the files in the right place

Well that didnt work either. I think the download is missing the admin files, cuz the module works fine but theres not way to activate it thru the admin panel.
