Ok, using Apache2Triad you will need to do the following:

1. Make a directory (call it anything you like) in the C:\apache2\htdocs\
an example would be C:\apache2\htdocs\phpnuke

2. Copy and paste the contents of the html folder of the phpnuke install into the newly created directory.

3. Log in to the phpmyadmin by going to [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

4. Enter the username and password you have set up when you installed Apache2Triad.

5. Create a database (call it anything you like) An example would be something like "phpnuke" without the quotation marks.

6. Enter the database you have just created by clicking on it's name on the left side of the screen. Look to the right side of the screen for the tab called SQL. Click on that tab, and click on the browse button below the window and locate the phpnuke folder you are installing and look for the sql folder. There should be a file called nuke.sql click on the file and select open. Then click on the go button. This will install the database.

7. Go to the C:\apache2\htdocs\phpnuke\config.php file and open the file using a text editor. Change the preferences in the config.php to match what you have set up the new database for. Save the file when you have finished.

8. Go to [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] in a web browser and you should be up and running.

Maybe some of this will also work with phptriad.

I'm not sure if PHP-Nuke packages you're referring to includes these so. Prior to installing PHP-Nuke you will probably already need to have PHP, Apache and MySQL installed and your computer. There are a few tutorials on the 'net on how to install these. Just thoght i'd add that i also have a local server for testing purposes, it's very good if you just want to develop your site before hosting it online, or simply to play around with PHP. I've managed to create a mini CMS icon_biggrin.gif

If phpTriad is like Apache2Triad, they have just about everything included in one bundle. I run Apache2Triad on my home system (Windows XP), and it works perfectly. It is not used for production purposes, but as a test server to run programs and install phpnuke, along with any other program, it is tops in it's class, IMO.

The lastes version of Apache2Triad has this included in it's bundle:

SERVERS: Apache2 ,MySQL ,OpenSSL ,Xmail , SlimFTPd
LANGUAGES: PHP ,Perl ,Python ,TCL
SCRIPTS:PHPmyadmin ,PHPXMail , PHPSftpD
+ AWStats , SSLCert , Xmail Queue Manager etc.

The website is here:

I used Easy-PHP 1.7, it includes Apache, PHP, MySQL and PHPMyAdmin in one installler. Worked fine so far, i also installed the MySQLCC which is an even more graphical and easier to use program.

The only other things I can think of is to try substituting "localhost" for the 127.0.0.1 (You have 127.1.1.0 on your image) ip address when logging on.

or

If you are using Internet Explorer, check on the Tools => Internet Options => Connections => Lan Settings and try to load the pages again with all the boxes UNCHECKED.

I will see if I can reproduce this error on my system .
