I have searched the internet and this site for the last 6 hours to try and find a solution, but I cannot seem to find one. I have a phpnuke site with the latest phpbb. When I first upgraded, the search function worked fine. I cannot think of anything that I have changed that would make it stop working. When you look at the forums and then click on search, you just get a blank page. It shows that it is trying to go to a page called search.php in the modules/forums folder. I have checked and that file is there. I am very new to php and do not have any idea what could cause this. If anyone has any ideas of something that I could try and fix this, please post them here. Try replacing the page search.php with the original file. Have you upgraded your forums recently?

I'm an idiot. I did update the forums, that is what started to make the search function work. It did not work before I updated them. Our site was hacked and I had to install from backup. The backup did not have the upgrade, so it went back to the way it was before. I have re-installed the upgrade and now everything works fine. Thank you for your post, it jarred my memory.

no problem man. I keep a log of everything I mod on my site just in case I need to back track. Its a lot of work to keep one up to date, but it can save you some headache in the end.
