OK, so we set up user groups on the forums sections, If I am logged in as admin/mod. and check requests, I see persons pending approval, if I choose them and click "approve selected" it returns an error:

Failed sending email :: PHP ::

DEBUG MODE

I cannot think why this would happen, incase this helps any, email sends from teh server fine when persons register new accounts and such. I have all these people looking to become memebers of a group and now I cannot approve them, please help..

im guessing i have about the same type of problem im using php nuke platiunum and i had givin admin permissions to teamate (team site) anyways i had forgotten to give him a permission and now when i try to promote him in the user list i check the boxes and then when i hit promote it gives me this error
ERROR: This Admin name is already in use.
i have tried taking his name out of the site or deleting it and then having him reregister and no luck there either
im real new to php so go easy on me

as I currently don't have NP, have you tried to post this issue in their forums? Also, when you say "add him in the user list" , you mean as in a group?

Well I tried adjusting the configuration settings as that article stated, to use the SMTP server, and now I get this error :

Could not connect to smtp host : 0 : Success

I am 100% aure of the authentication settings, there has to be something out of my reach.
